Books and the Bible

Sunday School | Youth Group | Adult Faith Formation | Books & the Bible | Faith in Daily Living | Spiritual Center | Educational Resources

The oldest continuing adult Christian Education program at St. Clement meets on Saturday mornings from 8:30 to 10 a.m. in the church office. Created in the late 1980s by lay men and women of the parish to provide a forum for reading and learning about the Bible, spirituality, and religion, Books and the Bible has been meeting ever since. Some people come and stay for years, while others are interested only in one particular author or book, and participate for however long they wish. Participants read a chapter or two during the week and then gather to ask questions, share insights, and learn together.

The Books and the Bible Christian Education group is starting its summer video series on July 9 at 9:00 A. M. in Marshall-Rutter Hall. We will be watching the following videos:

The Bible's Buried Secrets (NOVA PBS) Starts July 9

The Power of Myth – Joseph Campbell (PBS)

Walking the Bible: A Journey by Land Through the Five Books of Moses – Bruce Feiler (PBS)

Einstein’s God – Conversations about Science, New York Public Library: NYPL LIVE
