Christian Education Sunday School Sunday School begins September 12, 2010. Children of all ages are invited to bring backpacks, school bags, brief cases, dance bags, sports bags, etc. to the Blessing of the Backpacks. This annual event will take place during the 10 AM service.
Classes for children in preschool through middles school are held during the 10 AM service. Children leave the service during the first hymn and return before Holy Communion. Nursery care is available for children ages 6 weeks through 4 years of age.
Sunday School begins at 10 AM in the church sanctuary with the entire congregation. Children sit with their families. Shortly after the first hymn, children, teachers and helpers are dismissed for classes. Nursery care for children under age three years begins just before 10 AM and is located in the Children’s Chapel."
Visitors are welcome! Students will enjoy and benefit from dropping in for class when they are able. Each lesson is self-contained and part of a sequential curriculum that is planned to help children come closer to God as they learn about the Bible and our faith traditions. Sunday School registration forms will be available on Sunday, though registration is on-going throughout the school year. Sunday School teachers and helpers are still needed.
