| Volunteers needed: for Winter Shelter: St. Clement provides sleeping space for homeless people from January 2nd through March 15th every year, Sunday through Thursday nights.
In order to do that, we need volunteers to assist in the following categories: Category 1 -- Set-up/Orientation: Volunteers would put out snacks and bedding and then orient the incoming hosts who will be spending the night with our homeless guests. --This is about a 1 hour commitment from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. or a little after. Volunteers could either commit to once a week for the duration of the shelter OR be in a pool of substitutes who could be called upon to fill in for another volunteer for a particular date. Category 2 -- Substitute Overnight Hosts: Be in a pool of emergency substitutes who could be called upon to fill in for the hosts who were scheduled to spend the night at the church with our homeless guests. This is a commitment with another person from 7:15 p.m. until 6:15 the next morning. If either of these volunteer opportunities appeals to you, please email Marilynn Wilson Click here to send Marilyn an email. |
