Outreach As we have for over 10 years, St. Clement's will open its doors to the homeless this winter. Due to overcrowding at the city's main shelter (from January 2 - March 15, 2008), we operate an overflow shelter for homeless men that otherwise would have to sleep outdoors. Our shelter guests are prescreened for alcohol and arrive at St. Clement's in the evening after receiving their dinner. We provide a safe, warm and loving refuge from winter's deadly chill. The men sleep in our sanctuary six nights a week on mats we provide and use our sheets, blankets and pillows. In the morning the men leave for breakfast to return to the city's main shelter or, in the case of the working poor, to their jobs. We are always in need of volunteers for the shelter operation, including shelter openers, overnight supervisors, food preparers and to perform other important functions.

THANK YOU TO ALL WHO VOLUNTEERED FOR THE SHELTER!
