Sunday JANUARY 6
THRIFT SHOP EPIPHANY SALE
The Thrift Shop is planning an Epiphany Sale for parishoners on Sunday January 6. The shop will be open during the 8:00 and 10:00 coffee hours and there will also be a display of fine items in Marshall-Rutter Hall.
From Sharon Atherton, September 2004
Thrift Shop workers started the season with a festive potluck lunch in Marshall Rutter Hall in September. The occasion also honored several long-time volunteers who have given many years of service to the shop and to The Church of St. Clement. Dubbed "The Platinum Ladies" they were toasted and recognized for their inspiration to others by their active lives and joie de vivre. The lunch was attended by sixteen volunteers as well as Ruth Kidd, Thrift Shop vestry liaison, and was preceded by the Wednesday healing service. During the service Father John thanked the ladies for their ministry and remarked about how items not wanted by one individual can be 'resurrected' into something to be used and cherished by another. This year marks the 29th since the Thrift Shop opened at the Church of St. Clement.
