Pastoral Care

Pastoral Care is the "inreach" ministry at the Church of St. Clement concerned with the needs of the parishioners. This includes visiting someone at home or in the hospital, calling someone on the phone, driving someone to a medical appointment or driving someone to and from church. Also, making sure that all members are informed of special church events.

The Pastoral Care Ministry is working in the following areas:

Eucharistic Visits

We are searching for new people to participate in the the Lay Eucharistic Minister (LEM) Team. LEMs take Communion on Sundays to members of our community who were unable to attend the service that day. With all the members, it averages out to about one Eucharistic visit every two months. If you need to have someone bring the Eucharist to you, please contact the parish office and let us know. We would be happy to do it and, without your e-mail we might not otherwise know of your need. Periodically we conduct training for new LEMs and for chalice bearers (people who help the priest serve wine during the Eucharist services).

Transportation

Several of our parishioners have no way to get to church on Sunday, except by riding with others. If you can help transport someone who needs a ride to and from our services one Sunday a month, please contact Annabelle Wright.

Visitation

We have a team of parishioners who visit other members of our community who are homebound or or in the hospital. A member of this team will come for a visit, pray with you if you wish, or just talk things over. The volunteers have received training in Pastoral Care Visitation and understand the need for confidentiality in sensitive situations.
