Episcopal Day School About the School The St. Clement Episcopal Day School has a preschool curriculum for 2 1/2, 3, 4 and 5 year-olds as well as an extended care program. The parish views the school as a special ministry and works with school staff to ensure a quality program. The rector oversees the school and meets regularly with the school director to coordinate all aspects of the school and parish. Saint Clement Episcopal School began in 1952 as a preschool operated by the Church of Saint Clement primarily for children of the parish. Over the years, the school expanded to serve community children through the second grade. In about 1980 the school's first and second grades were discontinued and the school offered half-day preschool and junior kindergarten classes. The half-day pre-school and junior kindergarten programs (children ages 2 1/2-5 years) are currently offered from 9:00am - noon, Monday through Friday. Extended Care was added in 1993-1994 and expanded in 1994-1995. This aspect of our program has been a blessing for our school families. We view this as one more facet of our mission to serve young children and their families. Extended day care runs from 8:00am - 6:00pm, Monday through Friday.
