CARPENTERS SHELTER DINNER MINISTRY

Come join the Carpenter's Shelter Dinner Ministry. St. Clement's takes supper to the Carpenter's Shelter on the 3rd Sunday of each month. On even months, we provide the main course. On odd months, salad and dessert. In April and December, members of the church make our special chicken and stuffing casseroles (8 - 10), and we take them to the shelter to serve. Please join us in this wonderful ministry. There's always room for more helping hands. Contact Marsha Bell email:marsha.bell1@verizon.net to sign up or for more information.

DECEMBER
CARPENTERS SHELTER CHRISTMAS-TIME DINNER

Each year, we need volunteers to cook (at home) one recipe of our chicken casserole dish for the December dinner at Carpenters Shelter. We also prepare this casserole for the third Sunday in April.

All you have to do is prepare one recipe of our chicken casserole at home and freeze it. Put it in the church freezer.

1 lb of cooked, boned chicken (about 4 breasts) cut into bite sized peices
2 cans (10 oz) cream of celery soup (not diluted)
1 can (8 oz - measure if can is 12 oz) evaporated milk
2 tbs dried onion soup mix
2 packages (6 oz) Stove Top chicken flavor stuffing mix

Place bite-sized chicken pieces in 12 x 9 inch aluminum pan. Mix soup, milk, and
onion soup mix well, and pour over chicken. Prepare Stove Top in
accordance with instructions on box and spoon evenly over mixture.

The final step (bake at 350 for 30 minutes). We will reheat at the shelter before serving.
